Denote simplifies the process of sending yourself notes by email."As a matter of fact, my favorite way of reminding myself to do something is to send myself e-mail."-- Steve Jobs, quoted in Wired 4.02Many people use their email inbox to…..

I often email myself small todo items. With regular email, selecting myself as the recipient is slow and I sometimes forget what I was going to email. This app solves both problems. Worth it. I use it more than anything.
Perfect compliment to more traditional way of doing things.

I like to keep my organizing system simple, and I use paper notebooks on my desk to track my projects. I've tried various to-do list applications on my phone, such as OmniFocus (which I bought on the desktop as well), but found that they were too fussy, and presented me with an overwhelming array of choices. When I'm out and about, I really just want to capture what's on my mind without having to make decisions about categories and priorities etc. Denote does that perfectly. One touch from the home screen and I can record my ideas. The new version allows a series of notes to be sent in quick succession. Then when I get home, I can deal with the various ideas, turning them into to-do's or writing them up as needed in my notebook. Perfect!
Makes life easier
This app is my secret weapon. I've really come to depend on it when I get those sudden burst of inspiration. Try it.
I also like that I can add and edit notes in the horizontal format, so I often use Denote in combination with Dragon Dictation because it's much easier to edit in Denote.
